Bi-Weekly Current Event #4

The topic I chose to read and write about was the new idea of people making a driverless car.

"Driverless cars coming to U.K. in 2017."

In this article it is talking about a new car coming out in a few years that nobody has to drive. The new driverless car "will travel at about 12 miles per hour and use sensors to avoid obstacles" says Harrison. Also that there has already been cars made that do this but these will be the first for anybody to own.

When learning about this new car I wonder how this will effect the world we live around. I think it's really cool that there will be these cars that you don't have to drive yourself. But with the driverless cars, I have a ton of questions behind the facts on them. It makes me wonder the ages in order to drive these cars. If young teenagers are allowed to drive these they might abuse the privilege of having it.

How I think this will affect our world is greatly. The all new car that drives itself will be high in demand all around the world. People will be going crazy to buy it and making all kinds of loans to get it. There is no telling how expensive these cars will be. The men and women getting all the loans will cause a bunch debt. So in my opinion making these cars are a great advance in technology but a waste of money.
